Grade 9/3 in Berlin
On November 30, 2015 we went on a journey to Berlin. The first highlight was checking out the impressive main station with its many places to shop.
After that we went on to the Bundestag, where we had to go through security checks like you would find at an airport. Minus our jackets and bags, we took seats in the public galleries of the plenary chamber where we listened to an interesting talk about the proceedings at the Bundestag. We held a mock debate in which we found out that most of our Czech classmates were visiting Berlin for the first time.
After another security check we enjoyed the gorgeous view of Berlin from the dome. Then we went on to the Brandenburg Gate and the Czech Embassy. We met the Czech Ambassador, got to know his work more closely, and took a look around the house. The movie room impressed us most.
At the end of the day we had two hours of free time to explore Berlin. We really liked this day. We learned a lot of new things that we can now incorporate into our lessons.
