Language Training in Prague 2015
On Saturday, the 12th of September, we arrived in Prague at 3:00 PM, where our Czech exchange students were already expecting us. From then on, every student had their own individual schedule with their host family until Monday morning.
Many visited the sights that Prague had to offer, in order to get to know both the city and the culture better.
After the host principal's introduction, we sat in on various classes in smaller groups. We participated in many different subjects and gathered new experiences through our interactions with our Czech peers. In the following days we had class until 12:35, after which we spent the afternoon with our class teacher, Herr Häcker, as well as our previous Czech teacher, Frau Czastková.
On Monday we viewed the famous Prague Castle and the adjoining area
The next day the Carolinum, the oldest building belonging to Charles University, was on our schedule. After this, we attended a screening of a new film which remade a Czech fairytale.
We spent Wednesday afternoon on a guided tour through the Jewish quarter, where we saw two synagogues, as well as the Jewish cemetery. After a little bit of free time to see the city, we went to the theater together with our host students.
On Thursday, we saw the Vysehrad Area and its respective cemetery.
We spent the last hours of our stay in Prague in the city center. Our last lesson took place on Friday, when we finally returned home after an informative and unforgettable week.
