Student Exchange in Morteau
At the beginning of the schoolyear 2015, the French speaking ninth-graders went on a visit to our partner school in Morteau. After 13 hours on a coach, we were warmly welcomed by our host families. In the following days, the teachers had a great program for us.
On the first day we went to the city of Besançon, which we all liked. We visited the citadel from which we had a wonderful view of the city. On the next day, we went to Lausanne, a city in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. One of our destinations was the Olympic Museum.
We all spent the weekend with our host families who had individual plans for us. On Monday we exchanged experiences among each other. Then followed the highlight of our journey:
Paris. We spent two days in this great city but the time there was still way too short. Our itinerary included a sightseeing tour and visits to Sacré Coeur and Notre Dame. We even had some spare time left so we could also do some shopping. We all liked the Eiffel Tower best. From there, we had a breathtaking view of the city of love.
We spent the last day together with our exchange partners at school. In the afternoon, we visited a typical fromagerie where we could try free samples of cheese. Almost all of us bought some of it, so we had lovely presents for our parents at home. Unfortunately, we already had to say goodbye on Thursday but we are looking forward to seeing our exchange partners in Pirna in spring 2016 again.
